HOMEWOOD — The Franklin County Sheriff’s Office said Old Highway 50 has been reopened. The highway was closed this morning after a natural gas line leak in the 1100 block of Hamilton Road near Homewood. Emergency personnel have sealed off an area near Homewood because of the leak, which occurred when a natural gas line was cut. Officers blocked traffic between the 1100 and 1500 blocks of Old 50 Highway, which was downwind from the leak site.
