BALDWIN CITY–The director of the Baldwin City Recreation Commission is interested in the former Baldwin Elementary Primary Center to be used as a possible community center. Steve Friend said that he would use the building for many functions and community events. In order to have the building, Friend must convince the board members of Baldwin USD-348 to donate the building to the BCRC. Board President Allison Bauer asked Friend if the BCRC would purchase the building, Friend said that the BCRC couldn’t purchase the buidling, he was hoping that the Board would donate the building or the BCRC could rent the building. Superintendent Paul Dorathy said that the Board could look at having an outside company to have a public auction for the building.
