LOUISBURG–The Louisburg Board of Education is considering if students who want to play football and other sports should have to pay for the privilege. Seventh-grade sports were discontinued several months ago, and many teachers have been looking for ways to bring it back as well as keep the other sports funded. One proposal discussed recently would charge 50 dollars to all students who participate in extra-curricular activities, per activity…and 25 dollars per co-curricular activity. The board is expected to make a decision on the proposal at its February meeting.
