BALDWIN CITY–The work of Shakespeare will be presented to residents of Northeast Kansas. But the founding members need help. The Sunflower Shakespeare Festival’s founder Christopher Reed said the organization is looking for residents who want the Festival to come to the region. Reed is inviting those who want to help to a recruitment event at 7 p.m. Monday January 10th at the Lawrence Public Library Auditorium. Reed believes the Bard’s work is much needed in the region and would like to expand the residents’ horizons. The Festival tours abbreviated Shakespeare plays to local schools and teaches workshops across the area. The Festival wants to open its premier production in August of September 2011, with its tour in early 2012.
