WICHITA — The Kansas National Guard’s Agribusiness Development Team # 2 will return Thursday to Kansas from their year-long deployment to Afghanistan. There will be ceremony at a Wichita armory Thursday morning to welcome the 60 Guard members who spent the last year in Laghman Province in northeastern Afghanistan. The team, who called themselves “combat farmers,” taught Afghans efficient farming techniques and practices. A third team from Kansas – the third of five teams — has been deployed to the province.
