TOPEKA – Gov. Sam Brownback has signed executive reorganization creating the Prisoner Review Board in the Kansas Department of Corrections. He said the move will save the state almost $496,000 in the next fiscal year. The Kansas Parole Board will be abolished and all its functions will be transferred to the Prisoner Review Board. The new board will consist of three members appointed by the secretary of corrections.
