OTTAWA — Ransom Memorial Hospital has been accredited for another three years by the Joint Commission, which checks the quality of hospitals and their care. Hospital finance director Dean Ohmart said the accredition caps some hard work by the hospital staff over several months. The Joint Commission accreditation is tougher to achieve and only 20 to 30 hospitals in Kansas have receive the accreditation, he said.
