OTTAWA — Besides Ottawa, the only contested races for cities in Franklin County are in Pomona and Wellsville. There are three candidates for the two Pomona City Council seats. They are Jerald Johnson, Billy Lloyd and Jay Meador. Marie Seneca was the only person to file for mayor. Six people filed for the two open council seats in Wellsville: Cory Cunningham, Dorsey Edwards, Mike McAfee, Tim Shields and Jim Stonequist. Wellsville mayor Bill Lytle was the only person to file for mayor. There are no contested races, and in some cases, not enough candidates in city races in Lane, Princeton, Rantoul, Richmond and Williamsburg.
