LAWRENCE — A former Kansas University associate athletic director who was in charge of the ticket office has pleaded guilty to conspiring to steal tickets for sporting events. U.S. Attorney Barry Grissom said Charlette Blubaugh, Medford, Okla., pleaded guilty in U.S. District Court in Wichita today to one count of conspiracy to defraud the United States. She admitted she and co-defendants skimmed $2 million worth of KU sports tickets beginning in 2005. Her husband Thomas Blubaugh, a consultant to the KU ticket office. He is set to change his not-guilty plea at a hearing Friday. Four other people face sentencing in the ticket scandal and a former assistant athletic director faces trial.
