OTTAWA – Jane Altic bringing in groceries when she was startled by a man who introduced himself as Mark Sanders of Paola. He explained that he had just dropped in – by airplane, which was now in her pasture near her home on Oregon Road. He apologetically explained that he had to make an emergency landing in her pasture when his small airplane had a mechanical problem. Sanders wasn’t injured and there was no damage to the airplane. After borrowing Altic’s four-wheeler, Sanders and a friend removed the plane from the pasture and after removing the wings, trucked the plane away. To hear Jayne Altic click here
