OTTAWA–During Wednesday’s Ottawa City Commission meeting, Mayor Linda Reed has proclaimed the week of February 6-12th as Boy Scout Week. The Boy Scouts of America were incorporated on February 8th, 1910, in which it provides an education program for boys and young adults to build character. Eagle Scout Nathan Nowatzke was there to accept the proclamation. Ottawa is part of the Twin Rivers District, which serves the counties of Franklin, Anderson, Linn, and Miami.
