TOPEKA — The National Weather Service in Topeka has issued a winter weather advisory beginning 6 a.m. Tuesday to 6 a.m. Wednesday. The weather service’s Kelsey Angle said another powerful storm system is moving across the Rockies and will start hammering eastern Kansas tomorrow. As winds crank up, temperatures will crash again, with wind chills reaching 20 below zero Wednesday night or Thursday morning. Angle said that Kansas will get more snow in the next couple of days – and eastern Kansas getting a lot more snow. Snowfall amounts of 1 to 5 inches is expected by Wednesday morning. Four to 5 inches is expected and isolated higher amounts are possible mainly south of a Concordia to Emporia to Garnett line.
