OTTAWA — In the words of Ogden Nash, if you hear a panther, don’t anther. At least two KOFO staffers have seen what looks like a mountain lion in the pasture where the KOFO tower is located and in a neighboring pasture to the north. The sighting has been reported to the Ottawa Police Department and the Kansas Department of Wildlife and Parks but hasn’t been officially confirmed. KOFO news director Cleon Rickel took photos of the big cat, which will be posted Tuesday on the Web site as the Photo of the Day. There has been one other cougar sighting in Ottawa about four years ago but wasn’t officially confirmed.
