TOPEKA — Kansas Gov. Sam Brownback has reorganized the state’s agriculture agencies and placed them all under the Kansas Department of Agriculture. Among the changes: the Agriculture Products Development Dvision will be moved from the Department of Commerce to the ag department and will be renamed the Marketing and Promotions Program. The Kansas Animal Health Department and the livestock commissioner will be consolidated as the Animal Health Division headed by the animal health commissioner. The State Conservation Commission will become the conservation division in the agriculture department. The order would be official on July 1 if the Kansas Legislature does not reject it.
