KANSAS CITY — Crown Center officials say a $15 million aquarium called Sea Life Kansas City will be built on the entire first floor of Crown Center and part of the second floor of Hall’s Department Store. The aquarium is expected to be open in the spring of 2012. The company that will operate the aquarium says it will include more than 30 displays and have a huge tropical ocean tank with a walk-through underwater tunnel. One display will include the fish life of the Missouri and Mississippi rivers. Crown Center, which is a subsidiary of hallmark cards, didn’t announce admission prices.
