LAWRENCE — If there were to be a new 21st century Mount Rushmore, historian and author Richard Norton Smith said Franklin D. Roosevelt should be one of the faces on it. Smith will talk about one of the most significant presidents of the last century Wednesday night at 7:30 at Kansas University’s Dole Institute of Politics. The free lecture is part of this year’s Presidential Lecture Series at the Dole Institute. In addition, KU professor Robin Rowland will discuss his new book regarding Pres. Ronald Reagan’s speech foreshadowing the fall of the Iron Curtain. The event will include a book sale and signing.
