BURLINGTON — Although hearing loss is often associated with aging, it is present in people of all ages, from newborns to adults. In fact, an estimated 36 million Americans have hearing loss of some degree. Audiologist Mary Wade, with the Emporia office of Topeka Ear, Nose & Throat; will speak at the Coffey Health System’s “Lunch & Learn at noon Feb. 23 concerning treatment for hearing loss and the role of an audiologist in assuring maximum benefit from hearing aids.
