OTTAWA — Lake Region RC&D forester Ryan Neises said it’s time to plan planting trees. The best time to plant new trees is March 15 to May 15, Neises said. He said you should have a specific idea of what you want from new trees. Then you’re welcome to contact Neises at the Lake Region office at 242-2073. He can provide advice on the trees that best meet your needs, matching trees to the soil, and getting the trees off to a good start.
