OTTAWA–For many teens, it’s not easy and maybe even impossible for them or their families to buy a prom dress. But tomorrow morning, those girls can pick out one for free and get a party out of it to boot. ECKAN’s Prom Boutique is 9 to 1 tomorrow at the Ottawa First United Methodist Church. The Boutique includes booths and door prizes for restaurants, jewelry, make-up, lotion, and perfume. There is no charge and girls from Franklin, Anderson, Coffey, Osage, and Miami counties are invited to attend, try on dresses and take one home. ECKAN’s Lisa Rivers asks is that the girls consider donating their dresses back for next year’s prom boutique so someone else can benefit from it.
