PAOLA — Paola High School theatre students will perform “The Miracle Worker” Friday and Saturday nights at 7:30. The play tells the story of Helen Keller, who as a child suffered an illness that rendered her deaf, blind and mute. She developed a wild, aggressive personality, causing her parents to hire Annie Sullivan to serve as a teacher for Helen. Kailey Johnson joins the high school performance and will play the young Helen Keller. Libby McCormack plays Annie Sullivan.
