TOPEKA–There are new substances that are banned by the Kansas State Board of Pharmacy. On Wednesday, the Board voted to add the drugs JWH-081, JWH-122, JWH-210, and AM-2201 to the list. These compounds, known as “synthetic cannabinoids” are synthetic drugs that give users highs much like marijuana and other illegal substances. With the decision, the state is allowed to continue to prosecute Eric Srack, 42, the owner of a store in Salina that sells JWH-081. He’s charged with several felony counts. In order to create a ban, the Board must be approved by the state department of Administration and the Attorney General’s Office.
