TOPEKA–Republican and Democrats on the House Judiciary Committee said they intend to leave a law criminalizing those who participate in gay sex in Kansas law books, despite the law is unconstitutional. The law limits sex acts between gay and lesbian partners. Representatives Lance Kinzer and Jan Pauls said it isn’t necessary to remove the law, it’s unenforceable and no one is being harmed by it. However, the Kansas Equity Coalition’s Thomas Witt said that the law’s existence is an insult to gays and lesbians in Kansas.
