OTTAWA — The National Weather Service’s severe storm spotter class is tonight at 6:30 at Celebration Hall in Ottawa. The class, which is open to the public, will provide information on clouds and weather conditions that herald severe weather, emergency management director Alan radcliffe said. Tornadoes aren’t the only weather threat you need to watch out for – more people are killed by lightning and floods, he said. Even hail can be dangerous, he said.
