OSAGE CITY — Because of today’s winter weather, the closing of U.S. 56 has been postponed one day. The Kansas Department of Transportation’s Kimberly Squalls said U.S. 56 will be closed just west of the U.S. 75 junction in Osage County Tuesday morning at 9. Construction crews will replace the box culvert under U.S. 56 at 110-Mile Creek. That part of the highway will be closed until about mid-June. The detour is K-31.
