OTTAWA – Housing activist Peg McFadden hopes the city will partner with Project Hope to help the homeless of Franklin County. McFadden asked the city commission Monday to apply for a state grant for Project Hope. The grant would be about $81,000 and the city would only be a sponsor and not be required to add any of its own money. City manager Richard Nienstedt thinks it’s a partnership worth considering, requested more time to examine the proposal because of several questions he has. The commissioners will consider it further. The county commission has previously voted against seeking the grant.
