OTTAWA — Ottawa city commissioners went over a five-year plan for the Ottawa Municipal Airport Monday with public works director Andy Haney. The plan includes buying more land to allow the runways to be extended, updating the airport master plan and install a new automated weather system. If approved by the Federal Aviation Administration, most of the cost of the items would be paid by federal grants. A new airport advisory board scheduled to begin work soon, will help shepherd the plan, said city manager Richard Nienstedt.
