OTTAWA — Ottawa police have been investigating two reports of sex crimes this week. In one case, a 42-year-old Ottawa man reported Tuesday an incident involving indecent liberties with a child, sodomy and solicitation of a child. Police Lt. Adam Weingartner said that case remains under investigation and he declined to comment. In the second report, a 17-year-old Rantoul girl reported she was raped early Tuesday morning. Weingartner says the report was investigated and investigators determined that the sex was consensual and no charges will be filed. That case is closed, he said.
