WELLSVILLE–An accident near Wellsville sent one to the hospital. Last night, 18 year old Richard Hargett of Wellsville was traveling eastbound on Old 56 Highway, 3 miles north of Wellsville. Hargett went to make a u-turn at the K-33 Intersection, pulling in front of 23 year old Amber Nicole Bates of Spring Hill. Hargett was then struck by Bates. Bates was sent to Olathe Medical Center while Hargett refused to be transported. No word on Bates’ condition. The accident occurred around 7 last night.
