OSAWATOMIE — Osawatomie Mayor Phil Dudley joined 1,500 mayors across the country to deliver hot meals to seniors recently as part of the Mayors on Wheels program. The program is in its sixth year and aims to promote meal programs for elderly. Dudley told the Osawatomie Journal it’s his fourth year for Mayors on Wheels and said he enjoys meeting with residents. Osawatomie Senior Center’s Gina Dennis said she’s always on the lookout for volunteers to deliver meals. Osawatomie serves about 40 people on three routes.
