RANTOUL — A pickup owned by a Missouri man was destroyed by a fire in the 2100 block of Vermont Road near Rantoul Tuesday morning. Isaac Montoya-Pantoja, 30, Independence, Mo., told investigators the truck caught fire because of the hot exhaust of an air compression in the bed. He wasn’t injured but the truck was destroyed.
