PAOLA — About 200 Miami County fifth- and sixth-graders will celebrate the earth at the Miami County Fairgrounds today. Beginning at 9, the students will learn about biofuels, soil, recycling, water and other environmental issues in a fun, learning environment, said Miami County 4-H agent Carla Hightower. It’s a long-running Paola tradition that gets lots of support from community groups, Hightower said.
