GARNETT — The Easter bunny will be hopping down the Prairie Spirit Trail in Garnett Saturday. There will be an Easter parade and an Easter egg hunt on the Square in Garnett. The Easter parade will make a nod to Garnett’s 150th anniversary this year. About 60 participants will wear vintage clothing ranging from 1861 to the present in commemoration of the 150th, said Friends of the Prairie Spirit Trail president Janice Hodgson. Spectators are also welcome to wear vintage dress to the parade, she said. The parade begins at 11. Old cars will be on display on the west side of the square in front of the sesquicentennial arbor. The Garnett Area Chamber of Commerce Easter egg hunt will be at 1 on the historic Anderson County Courthouse lawn. In case of rain, most events will be at the Garnett Recreation Center.
