On election day, Ottawa voters will see four names on the ballot for Ottawa City Commissioner; however, one of those people is deceased. Pierre Johnson had filed for the Commission, citing the need for a younger face in City Government to bring change to the community. Franklin County Clerk, Janet Paddock says the law requires his name to remain on the ballot, but, what if he is elected?

Many of Johnson’s supporters say they will vote for him out of respect and hope other younger people will step up and run for city office.
