Yesterday, November 6th, about 11:00, the Osage County Sheriff’s office learned of a potential threat against Burlingame schools. The Burlingame School Resource Officer and school officials immediately placed the school into a ‘Shelter in Place’, followed by a lockdown. Additional deputies responded to the school and to the area to search for the suspect. The suspect, a juvenile, was located by Burlingame Police and taken into custody without incident at 11:40.

Officials say they are thankful for the students and parents who reported the threats and for the Resource Officer and Police Departmentfor responding and resolving the situation quickly.

They ask that anyone with information, please contact the Osage County Sheriff’s Office.

A reminder from police that if you see something, or hear something that doesn’t seem right… say something and let them check it out to make sure things are safe.
