The Franklin County Public Works Department has some very expensive pieces of machinery, that is forced to sit out in the weather year-round. Commissioners are wanting to take better care of their investments. Commissioner Roy Dunn says they want things to change:
This comes as the county has purchased two new snow plows that will arrive next fall, at an estimate cost of over $300,000 each. Commissioners plan to work fast on getting those new buildings built in time to house them and other equipment that as of now, have to sit outside.
