The ‘Creating Healthy Habits’ serie,s sponsored by the Franklin County Health Department has been very successful in their first two presentations. It’s a series of community nutrition education programs that provide families with nutrition information on healthy eating and lifestyles. It’s open to everyone and, it’s free. County Nurse Practitioner Susan Moore on the goal of the program:

The next class is March 25th, healthy eating with fruits and vegetables, featuring Frontier Extension Agent Chelsey Richmond. Everyone will get a set of measuring utensils, and a 4 cup glass measuring cup, along with the Harvest to Home produce box, an insulated shopping bag, nutrition booklet and a healthy snack. The class is limited to 60 people. If you are interested in the next class in March, contact the Health Department as soon as possible, to get registered.
