The Life Skills Class at Ottawa High School attended the annual job skills olympics yesterday, March 27th, at Spring Hill High School. The students were given a variety of task oriented jobs to do and competed with other life skill students, many bringing home medals for their efforts. Dakota Brannan had a huge showing. He placed second in stocking product, rolling silverware and bussing tables. Ryan Green taking second in making change and hosting. Mahayla Gallagher finishing in second place in rolling silverware and making change. Katie Dysart was third place in sorting towels, and Gary Sitlington taking third place in stocking product. Congratulations to all the Cyclones that took part.

The job olympics is a competition developed to promote transition and employability skills for a broad spectrum of high school students in special education. Many different competition are held every year across the nation. Competitions representing actual job and employment situations are judged by business people from the community and professionals in education
