The Ottawa Main Street Association has been working on what is called a Common Consumption area in downtown Ottawa, which would permit the consumption of alcoholic drinks in certain downtown zones for particular events. However, their request of $1,500 from Transient Guest Tax Funds…or TGT Funds…. From the Franklin County Commission has been turned down. Commission Chair Colt Waymire says it’s better to wait and see:
The commission also took a look at other requests from organizations asking for TGT Funds. Final decisions are expected at the April 24th County Commission Meeting.
