Establishing a Safe Haven Baby Box at the Ottawa Fire Station is on hold for now. During an extended discussion at the Ottawa City Commission, Mayor Mike Skidmore had a question for Baby Box advocate Angie Malik:
City officials say there are a number of legal issues that cause some concern. Commissioners asked about AdventHealth Ottawa accepting a box instead of the fire station. The issue was tabled for the time being.
