An Osawatomie man lead Franklin County Sheriff’s Deputies on a chase that ended with him in jail. Friday night, August 30th, just before 11:00, 19-year-old Damon Estes of Osawatomie was finally stopped in the 2400 block of K-68 Highway after deputies used spike strips to flatten the tires. He was charged with fleeing and eluding, reckless driving, failure to yield at a signal, failure to yield at a stop sign, improper driving on a laned roadway, illegal registration, minor in consumption and endangerment. A passenger in his vehicle was issued a notice to appear for transporting an open container and minor in consumption. Estes was take to the Franklin County Detention Center where he will have to see a judge for bond.
