In western Kansas, there is an extreme water crisis that very few in this part of the state know about. Rex Buchanan, Director Emeritus of the Kansas Geological Survey at the University of Kansas says it’s so bad, that the Arkansas river, or, “the Ark”, runs dry most of the time.
Buchanan was the guest speaker at the Eggs and Issues Banquet at Ottawa University recently and he informed the audience about the seriousness of the water crises and how it could be resolved.
