About two years ago, Mental Health America ranked Kansas 51st in the nation, when it came to overall mental health care. That got the attention of Governor Kelly and the State Legislature and since that time, Elaine Johanes, the Kansas Health Foundations Distinguished Professor of Community Health at Kansas State University says, in their new report, things have changed dramatically:
