Last month, the Franklin County Commission decided it was time to sell the former Cedar Crest Nursing Home property . That sale became official on Friday as the county posted a notice of public auction of the property at 1124 West 7th Street Terrace. According to County Administrator Derek Brown, there are some special terms in the notice:
The Historical Society uses the building to store many of their artifacts. The building is environmentally controlled to protect the artifacts. The new owner will lease the building to them for only $120.00 annually. According to the public notice, the sale will be conducted Tuesday, February 11th at 11:00 in the morning.
