There are only three counties in the entire United States named Osage, and, the sheriff of each of these met recently. Osage County, Kansas Sheriff Chris Wells, Osage County, Missouri Sheriff Michael Bonham and Osage County, Oklahoma, Sheriff Eddie Virdin, met and exchanged ideas and information. The three met in Kansas and went on a tour of the new law enforcement center in Osage City.
Sheriff Virdin, of Oklahoma says the meeting was invaluable and provided them all with the chance to strengthen their law enforcement practices and enhance their capabilities as they work diligently to serve and protect their communities. He adds that he looks forward to maintaining a connection and continuing to work together to achieve the goal of ensuring the safety and well being of the residents of all three Osage Counties
