Results are in from yesterday’s elections. A quick summary of races in Ottawa and an important question in Franklin County. In the Ottawa City Commission race, all three incumbents were reelected to their posts. Zach Clayton receiving the most votes with 863, Eric Crowley with 787, and Sara Caylor with 783. Pierre Johnson, appeared on the ballot, but unfortunately passed away before the election, still received 351 votes.

In the USD 290 Board of Education race, newcomer Diedre Altic led all votes with 1,119, beat out the other challenger David Harvey who had 553 votes and will gain a seat on the Board. Incumbents Harald Wingert with 1,011 votes,Julie Dandreo with 840, and Malydia Payne with 828, all retaining their seats.
The question of whether to drop the 30% food requirement for establishment serving liquor by the drink was overwhelming approved, with 2093 voted yes and only 735 no votes.
