Let’s look at a some of the election results from around Franklin County. In the Rantoul Mayor race, Lara Jean McDowell won with 22 votes to Nathan Schwartz 15. Two races in Wellsville, first, for Mayor, voters chose William Lytle with 179 votes over Jeremy Slabaugh with 87 votes. For Wellsville City Council, Luke Henry leading the votes with 133, the other position will go to William Corey Cunningham with 130 votes.
Two positions open for Williamsburg City Council. They go to Justin McCurdy with 46 votes and Bobbie Hawkins with 40 votes.

In Princeton, a race for City Council, five positions open, Carol Lingo leading with 41 votes. There are 19 write in votes that could make a difference in the final tally for the 5th position, as Katie Sawyer received 18 votes.

One contested seat on the West Franklin School Board. The position 2 seat goes to Dakota Frak with 233 votes, over Shelby Richardson with 173 votes. All four candidates in the USD 288 Central Heights School Board race, ran unopposed. Ken Brock garnering the most votes with 216.

Two races for Wellsville USD 289 School Board. In the position 6 race, Pamela Kichler won over Lindsey Wood 224 votes to 214. In position 7, it was Brett Shelton over Clayton Otwell 264 votes to 179
for the Frontier Extension District 11 Board Member, it was Dawn Rumford winning with 1,813 votes. Lisa Davis received 1,696 votes
