Someday, Ashley Steenbock will tell her soon-to-be-born daughter about the EF-1 tornado that slammed into their farm when she was 8 months pregnant. Tuesday morning’s severe weather included a tornado near Overbrook, and as the tornado bore down, Ashley grabbed her other children, wrapped them up and got into the bathroom at the back of the house. Her husband, Ethan, at work an hour away, rushed home and saw the damage, that left outbuildings destroyed and vehicles mangled. He says, his family was fortunate:

Steenbock says it was amazing how many people just showed up out of nowhere to help clean up the property. His neighbor down the road was hit hard also and says people showed up there to help him also. The National Weather Service says the EF-1 tornado was 75 yards wide and had winds over 100 miles per hour and was on the ground for about 10 minutes.
