The National Weather Service says that the severe weather that swept through the area earlier this week dropped two tornadoes in Osage County. The first touched down at 5:51 Tuesday morning just north of Eisenhower State Park. It was 100 yards wide and had winds up to 110 mph and was on the ground for three and a half miles. The tornado damaged mainly trees in Central Osage County, but one home was hit by the tornado, shifting it on its foundation.

The other tornado touched down 4 miles west of Overbrook at 6:07 that morning and was on the ground for about 10 miles, hitting the town of Richland, causing damage to homes, trees and outbuildings and two injuries as an RV was flipped over. It was 75 yards wide with winds at 100 miles per hour. It was on the ground for nearly 10 miles before lifting at 6:27.
