Every year, 12 Kansas graduating seniors, who are football letter-winners are recognized at the Coach Bill Snyder Family Sunflower Chapter of the National Football Foundation Awards Dinner. One of the winners this year, is a soon to be Louisburg High School graduate. Quarterback Declan Battle will be honored. Battle is a two time All State player and selected to the 2024 Shrine Bowl. He holds the Louisburg school passing record and ran for a 1,000 yards and passed for more than 1,000 yards this past season. He is ranked 1st in his class academically. He is also involved in school activities, including “Guys For Christ”, Louisburg Wildcat Peer Mentor and a Grace Church volunteer. He plans to play football next year at Washburn and major in business management.

All the student athletes will be recognized at the Annual Chapter Awards Dinner, this year conducted at the Burge Union on the University of Kansas Campus in Lawrence, on May 8th. This year the Kansas Shrine Bowl joins as a partner in recognizing its latest Hall of Fame Inductees.
