Kansas Game Wardens say two people are under arrest in connection to another poaching case in Miami County.

Kansas Department of Wildlife and Parks game wardens say in a social media post, that a landowner contacted law enforcement around 6:00 Saturday evening, April 20th, to report poaching activities on his property. A game warden and K-9 were sent to the area along with Miami County Sheriff’s Deputies. Law enforcement at the scene found two people and seized two turkeys, three .22 rifles and an air rifle. The alleged shooter of the turkeys was arrested for several wildlife violations.

The K-9 unit continued to search the area for more evidence and located another suspect hiding in the woods. This individual was also arrested, along with another dead turkey.
